Tasmania’s PMLS (Professional Music and Lighting Systems) recently picked up 18 ShowPRO Brix FC outdoor-rated, high-output RGBW COB LED blinders with modular design for deploying large arrays.
“We purchased them mainly for their versatility,” said Paul Goss, Account Manager at PMLS. “They are something we can use both outside in the weather but also to get a good effect on stage for our shows.
“We found the Brix FC to be a better choice than EX36 units for a number of reasons. They are lighter, have more rigging options, have more useful effects for onstage, and they have the option of removing the lens for a more open wash.”
PMLS’ lighting designer Josh Morse loves the colours the Brix FC can produce, as well as their brightness, the colour saturation, and the fact they can emulate a 4 cell halogen blinder.
“We love the built in rigging which makes them easy to rig in banks quickly,” added Paul. “They have been on more shows than any other light since we bought them.”
