Located in Wellington, New Zealand, Scots College is a Presbyterian day and boarding school that features an impressive custom designed, fully equipped Creative and Performing Arts Centre. In 2012 Lighthaus Limited commissioned the lighting system and services in the performance arts space which incorporates a theatre with full lighting gantry, state-of-the-art recording studio, music suites and drama rooms.
The latest additions to their inventory include an MA onPC command wing and eight ShowPRO FusionPar Q XII.
“The school chose the command wing due to its ease of use and compact size,” commented Ben Farrand, a student at the school with a keen interest in lighting. “It’s an easy console for students to learn on and provides a good introduction to lighting. I like the fact you can program a show during rehearsals and play the show back with the click of a button. I find it simple to busk a show with the large monitor.”
Ben remarked that he was impressed by the output of the ShowPRO FusionPar Q XII as well as the auto show functionality. He added that they are a bright light source with a good range of colour tones.
