Located in Glenorchy, an easy 10-minute drive from Hobart, the MyState Bank Arena is the largest capacity and most versatile indoor entertainment venue in Tasmania. For over 20 years MyState Bank Arena has played host to large concerts, trade shows, exhibitions, sporting events and conferences.
The venue was keen to purchase a lighting fixture that offered gobo projection, could do beams throughout the arena yet could also be the perfect spotlight. After consulting with Alive Technologies, they were led to the Claypaky Sharpy Plus, the first true 100% hybrid unit, able to be a perfect beam light and a perfect spotlight.
“The Claypaky Sharpy Plus offered the performance at the right price so they purchased a couple,” commented Nathaniel Collins, Project Manager. “Its minimum beam angle of 3° makes it possible to generate narrow parallel light beams essential for beam light mode whilst its wide zoom range also allows large beam angles.”
