When you think of a lawn bowls competition you tend to imagine white-clad elderly folk gently playing on manicured green lawns. Not so this competition that was held on the Gold Coast and colourfully lit up by Power AV!
Power AV put to use their 12 x ShowPRO Neptune 400 Hybrids and 12 x ShowPRO Pluto Beams with Grant Villiers, Managing Director, saying the fixtures performed fantastically – as always!
“We purchased the ShowPRO Neptune 400 Hybrids for their high brightness and IP rating,” said Grant. “They’ve been very popular and as soon as we got them, they went out on a multi-week event. They have great colours and gobos, are very reliable, and were a good investment with all the wet weather that we’ve been having!”
The ShowPRO Neptune 400 Hybrid has fast and silent pan and tilt movements, full CMY colour mixing engine, a professional high-quality colour wheel, extremely clean static and rotating gobo wheel projection and five facet prism effect.
Grant reports that the fixtures have performed great as have their ShowPRO Pluto Beams. Using its two prisms, the Pluto Beam can create bright and sharp multi-beam effects.
“We chose them for their compact size, light weight and LED engine,” added Grant. “Again, great colours, light output and choice of gobos. The ultra-compact moving beam with a super narrow-angle of 1.7° is impressive too.”
Also on this gig were Power AV’s 30 x LED Fusion Wash Q XLVIII (48) outdoor-rated RGBW wash lights with snap-on beam shaping filters and an advanced thermal (fanless) design with W-DMX receiver on board. Grant remarks that they are great for washing all sorts of areas and that they deliver a strong saturated wash.
Control was Power AV’s MA Lighting MA3 command wing.
