Martin’s latest addition to the legendary MAC Aura family of workhorse wash lights is the MAC Aura XIP featuring a radical aura filament effect and full pixel control with video mapping capabilities onto the beam, aura or both.
The savvy guys at Melbourne’s Clear Systems were one of the first of our customers to order the MAC Aura XIP and have been thrilled with their purchase of twenty-four units.
“We hadn’t updated our wash fixtures for years,” explained Daniel Bowen, Hire Department Manager at Clear Systems. “We had the original MAC Auras since they first came out and they have been great.”
The MAC Aura XIP is fully waterproof for weather conditions such as rain, snow, sand or ice, making it handy for Melbourne’s temperamental weather, which was a key factor for Daniel.
“It makes them so versatile for indoor and outdoor work and really, they just ticked all of our boxes,” he said. “They are also lightweight, compact and silent. They are as bright as an Aura XB and the filament effect is something different from other lights.”
The Aura Filament Effect comprises 12x RGBW filaments that deliver a brighter aura backlight effect, with the possibility to show iconic aura filaments that can also be individually controlled.
Daniel was also impressed by the MAC Aura XIP’s pixel control with video mapping capabilities delivering new and exciting eye candy looks.
“Their versatility really stands out with Art-Net, P3 and DMX making control so easy,” added Daniel. “Their colours are great, from rich saturated colours to vibrant colours to soft pastels and white tones, and there’s no ‘hotspot’.
