Live Event Services recently upgraded from grandMA3 compact to grandMA3 compact XT with Colin Baldwin, Managing Director, commenting that having two multi-touch monitors and 60 playbacks makes a huge difference when programming larger shows.
“Show Technology, as always, was great to deal with and were very helpful with training,” added Colin. “MA Lighting is the most widely-used console around the globe, and having assessed the range, we knew the compact XT would be an excellent addition to our inventory. Our compact XT will be a great workhorse for the company.”
Colin further notes that his compact XT offers all the benefits of the grandMA3 system whilst housed in a compact and lightweight format. Its versatility and portability make it ideal for a company such as LES.
Justin Barraclough, Senior Production and Technical Manager at LES, is running the console in MA3 mode, saying MA3 is much easier to operate since up made changes to mode 3.
LES also invested in ShowPRO Neptune 300 moving wash lights, IP65-rated for outdoor use. These fixtures are a wise investment for a company that does many outdoor events for local councils.
“The ShowPRO Neptune 300 is lightweight and very punchy,” commented Justin Barraclough, Senior Production and Technical Manager at LES. “It’s a perfect package for many of our events. Easy to handle, transport and rig, it will be in demand this summer. The colours are great, and the pixel ring offers our clients some great eye candy effects. Add a soft or hard beam option plus a 3.5° to 50° zoom, and what’s not to like?”
