Let’s face it, the Martin MAC One is an absolute godsend to the corporate production world.

With its extremely compact size and lightweight, it features a 4 to 27-degree ultra-fast zoom, advanced 120W RGBL LED engine, and 150mm Fresnel lens making it a no-questions-asked winner.
Nick Waterman, Managing Director of Scene Change Adelaide, purchased 32 x MAC Ones without even seeing one in the flesh, so to speak, such was his faith in Martin.

“I saw them reviewed online and that was good enough,” he said. “It was the eye candy factor with 24 RGB effect LED within the lens backlight system that sold it to me. I’m all about the corporate eye candy, so that’s what ticked those boxes.”

Nick was also delighted to acquire a fixture whose small size makes them ideal for dressing up stages. He adds that they are light, fast and have a nice beam effect as well … plus a 100% good price!

“When we first powered them up I was amazed by the fact that they’re super-quiet and super-fast,” he added. “It also has an incredibly narrow, high-intensity beam and some great pre-built effects.”

The photographs show the launch of Observatory 23, a lavish new event offering on Adelaide’s city fringe operated by Your Say Group. The Scene Change team were not able to rig any lights in the venue so the MAC Ones decorated the stage complimenting the LED screen design.

“You can just plop the MAC Ones on stage and they have some nice looks for walk-in and then eye candy when things are happening on stage,” explained Nick. “We’re looking forward to receiving our MAC One fourbar which will be a great time saver.”

With the optional fourbar accessory, MAC One fixtures can be transported, rigged, unrigged, and cabled in blocks of four, saving time when deploying several fixtures.
